Anti Terrorism Act

The anti-terrorism law faced considerable opposition and criticism for containing a detention without trial provision, similar to the repealed Internal Security Act (ISA) and came after police arrested 17 suspected militants.
Lawmakers said Parliament adjourned at 2.26am when the last motion to amend the Pota bill by Segambut MP Lim Lip Eng was defeated with 60 votes for and 79 votes against.
A subsequent motion to the refer the bill to the full house of the Parliament was passed 79 to 60 while a third reading of the proposed law was also passed 79 to 60.
The Dewan Rakyat had earlier stopped its clocks before midnight last night to enable the committee stage of the Pota debate to continue since noon yesterday.
The motion to stop the clock was tabled by the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim and seconded by the Works Deputy Minister Datuk Rosnah Shirlin.

It is a great move and prevail Malaysia is against terrorism in the country. Recently, we have witnessed a growing number of Malaysian trying to flee the country to Syria and join the IS. It is believed that recruits were made possible via Facebook and other electronic medias.

But in rational way of thinking, I am still puzzled with the way Malaysian react and easily convinced by barbaric move of IS terrorist.

They are killing and trying to rule by the name of GOD which they never understood a single meaning of it. It also reflect that Malaysian are so narrow minded and easily manipulated when GOD's name is used.

Malaysian are soft hearten people and believe in everything when they are convinced, basically by the name of GOD and religion. Many scholars have proven IS move is Barbaric. I have seen many speeh comment by the top scholars from IRAN / Pakistan that IS is actually a wrong move and wrong understanding of true Islam.

Hopefully these act which is similar to ISA (Internal Security Act) which was carried out detention without trial is not miss used by some quarter for their own use.
