Uthayakumar ~ Hulu Selangor

Uthayakumar shall be the best candidate to win the seat in Hulu Selangor. I am one the Hulu Selangorian too. Uthayakumar's pledged not only for Indian but he is a capable man to represent the other Malaysians too (Malays, Chinese and Orang Asli).

He stands for justice. He fight with no fury when comes to equality and fairness.

He is a hard core and went through hell to make his stand. He is known to Malaysians. He knows law. We need a man like him in Parliament to deliver his thoughts.

He changed many Malaysians thoughts specially the Indians community. I am one of them too. He changed the view of many others towards Indian minority in this country.

He freed the Indian community from their prison mind. He made the minorities to understand the people’s power. He changed the prescription about Malaysian Indians in the eye of others.

He made Malaysian Indian’s voice heard internationally. His brother is still in self exile simply because the brothers were fighting for one race which was almost disappearing in this land. 

He made the Malaysian Indians to understand that they were marginalized by their own country man by the name of MIC. He made me understood about the unawareness of us being the son of this soil.

He made lot of us to aware that we are Malaysian first before being Indians. We are not Indians but Malaysian Indians.

"If I am given the leeway to bring about changes in regards to the critical Indian community problems, I will consider," he told Malaysiakini in the recent interview.

He sacrificed his two years in ISA detention for his pledge to the Queen of England about marginalizes Indians in this country.

All this should be considered as Uthyakumar shall prevail for other races too. He is a man of the people. He is a man of justice. I believe he will retain Hulu Selangor seat with big majority.

Happy Thaipusam ~ Be Malaysian

Wishing all Hindus a very Happy Thaipusam dan and may Lord Murugan's  blessing be with us with his grace and prosperous. May his brave and sharp mind give us energy to stand for justice. Let this Thaipusam day unite us to be stronger and wiser.

Lets get united with our Muslim brothers, Buddhist brothers, Christians brothers and others as well. Our blood is all red after all. Let us break the the wall of religion that stands between us. Understand ones religion and  respect all is the key for unity of mankind.

The Muslim and others are always welcome to Batu caves or any other temples in Malaysia to celebrate this day with Hindus. 

Colorful, musical, no meat foods, sweets and all type of Tamil's traditional and cultural items can be found in this auspicious day.   

Visiting any Tamils holly places to witness Thaipusam celebration doesn't make anyone to change their believes of faith. 

It was just a celebration celebrated by Hindus to clean their sins and get blessed from Lord Murugan. His blessing goes to all if we believe GOD is one and for all.

Malaysians, specially the majority group should be more wise and be more understanding to others believe and don't be naive and short sided. No one is greater than the others.

No body owns this world for themselves but it was to be shared with all include the animals and all in it. GOD never had any hidden agendas to us. He never create hatred. He is the ultimate love and supreme being for all mankind. 

There is no Indian GOD, Chinese GOD, Christian GOD, Muslim GOD or any other religion GOD. But there is only one GOD for all.

Nyanyuk Boys Talking

Our country never lack of the voice of nyanyuk boys. And so cause so many nyanyuk boys in the country got nothing to do rather than talked rubbish that tarnish the country’s good name. They talked not only about our country but this time they cross the boarder to comment about other country as well.

One of the nyanyuk boy commented about US government’s failure to keep peace in Gaza. I never understood when this nyanyuk boy made the US in charge to take care of Gaza problem when once he question US for invading Iraq and never understood US was the savior of Kuwait when Iraq invaded Kuwait.

The best of all, this nyanyuk boy said the 9/11 attack on the twin Tower was staged. I am sure the part of the world will be laughing with this statement and confirm him as nyanyuk that need to left alone. He is a major embarrassment to this nation. With the current religious complication raising up in the air, maybe he is nyanyuk after all.

On top of that this nyanyuk boy talked about the promise made by this president of one of the powerful country in the world. He voice out those promises made by this foreign president but he forgot about many promises he broke when he was in power. Of course he is nyanyuk. So, don’t blame him.

Another interesting nyanyuk boy who was leading the Tamils in Malaysia for more than 30 years and he still think he is the savior of the Tamils in Malaysia. This nyanyuk boy claimed everyone who was elected to party post with his help is against him. There was a conspiracy against him. He is having this trauma called “Can’t live without power”.

His deputy president who won the deputy president with his strength is against him. But this nyanyuk boy is not going to quit. Don’t blame him as he counting his days against time.

Here goes another nyanyuk boy’s statement from the state level. He has forgotten that he was an opposition now but talking as he is in power. Who is listening to him? Even I had forgotten his name but always remember when I heard the word “TOYOL”. He said “Even when I had the power, I refuse to any position in the foundation”.

I agree with this nyanyuk boy for his generosity never to head any foundation because he was too busy with other foundation that gave him better income. Even his wife was busy with BAKTI’s 10 million on how to spend this amount of money. “Two much money, too little time”

You guys want to listen to a joke from another nyanyuk boy? Guess who? He once said, if anyone was arrested in ISA, I will visit him everyday and bring him shark spin soup. More than 30 years leading a party and he has done and said nothing about what he wants others to voice out and to be willing to go to prison.

This appearance of nyanyuk boys will be seen more to emerge in coming time. We will be nyanyuk some day ah? Wonder will we be like them to others? Ops..

Pakatan's new consensus for Malaysia

Former law minister Zaid Ibrahim has been hard at work over the past few months to forge the following joint Pakatan platform. The platform is devided into three broad categories - democracy, economy and social justice.

Below are the excerpts of other key area of the policy statement:

Healthcare - Establishing a National Heath Commission to improve public healthcare.

Women - Ensuring 30 percent representation at the government's decision-making level.

Police - Establishing the Independent Police Complaints and Misconduct Commission.

Culture - Liberalising restriction on performances by artistes.

Language - Promoting Bahasa Malaysia as the regional lingua franca but protecting mother tongue languages.

Labour - Minimum wage policy.

Social security - Establishing a National Retrenchment Fund.

Elections - Redelineation of electoral boundaries to fulfil concept of 'one person, one vote'.

Public transport - Study the possibility of buying back North-South Highway and renegotiating highway concessions to reduce toll prices.

Media - Amending the Printing Presses and Publishing Act and enact a Freedom of Inforamtion Act to ensure media freedom.

A new consensus for Malaysia (Full Contents)

Pakatan Rakyat hereby put forward a policy agenda to lead the people and this nation out of the current worsening crisis.

The people's development agenda has been derailed due to a narrow understanding of race, divisive hate politics and authoritarianism.

The recessive economy caused by the loss of moral conscience, the greed of corruption and archaic policies are causing Malaysia to be left behind compared to other vibrant economies in the region.

The unjust economy is all the more apparent in the widening gap between the rich and the poor, between the urban and the rural population, and between the Peninsular and Sabah and Sarawak.

The rising crime rate threatens lives and property because the police force has been used for narrow political ends.

The integrity and independence of the judiciary continues to be damaged by political interference and business interests.

After half a century of sovereign independence, Malaysia should have matured.

This should have been realised when the people from various races, breaking down narrow and obsolete mindset, and manifest a new spirit to reject the perversion of power, the spread of corruption, the plunder of the nation's wealth and the repression of the people's rights.

In appreciating the people's aspirations, Pakatan therefore declares our commitment to fully internalise and carry out an agenda of new politics by mobilising the people's power from the various races, religions and cultures as one force.

Further, we have confidence; we can change our policy framework from narrow racial approach to principles based on religious faiths, humanism, ethical and human rights, and equality before the law regardless of status, race or group.

The policies that are derived from adherence to the Constitution and universal principles of justice will safeguard the rule of law and the independence of the judiciary, which in turn will guarantee that the human rights and dignity of the people will continuously be defended and upheld.

Pakatan is confident that the Malaysian economy can be driven at a faster pace through a market-based economy that is humane, leading towards a more holistic human development.

Economic policies should make Malaysia competitive, maintain a healthy investment climate, implement progressive taxation, but firm in its desire to realise justice through the equitable economic distribution especially for the poor and marginalised.

Pakatan rejects policies that allow for corruption and other financial crimes and abuse of power.

In order to ensure sustainable growth, oppressive policies that had only enriched the few should be replaced with a policy that ensures that the poor are assisted regardless of race.

As such, we invite the Malaysian people to create a new consensus that is founded on principles of justice for all and Constitutionalism.

This is the agenda that must be done if we are to regain the nation's respect, freedom and dignity. Only by providing justice for all can the people live prosperously and in unity.

1) DEMOCRACY

A. Constitutionalism and the rule of law

The federal constitution is the manifestation of the aspirations and hopes of the independent Malaysian people.

Within it, the fundamental rights of every citizen including rights to religion, language, citizenship and culture are fully guaranteed.

Therefore, Pakatan commits to uphold the spirit and provisions of the federal constitution.

Pakatan will:

1. Defend the federal constitution, Islam as the religion of the federation while other religions can be practiced peacefully anywhere in the country and protecting the special position of the Malays and the indigenous peoples anywhere including Sabah and Sarawak, and the legitimate interests of other races in accordance with Article 153.

2. Defend the role and responsibility of the institution of constitutional mnarchy.

3. Uphold the use of Bahasa Melayu in accordance with Article 152 of the Constitution and promote Bahasa Melayu as the regional lingua franca, while protecting and strengthening the use of mother tongue languages for all races.

4. Abolish the Internal Security Act and other laws that allow for detention without trial while simultaneously propose that all existing emergency declarations be rescinded.

5. Abolish or amend all other oppressive laws and regulations that are repressive and contravene fundamental rights.

6. Guarantee the spirit of federalism and a just relationship between the federation and the states, especially Sabah and Sarawak.

B. Separation of powers

The effectiveness of the democratic system is dependent on the proper implementation of separation of powers.

The integrity of a government is dependent on the independence, credibility and legitimacy of its institutions that have been entrusted with the responsibility to ensure checks and balances among the branches of the executive, judicial and legislative.

Pakatan will:

1. Restore the integrity of the judicial system and guarantee transparency and full independence of the Judicial Appointment Commission.

2. Restructure the workings in Parliament to make it more transparent, democratic and able to perform its role to check and balance.

3. Guarantee the direct accountability to Parliament of bodies such as the Election Commission, Anti-Corruption Commission, Human Rights Commission, Petronas, Khazanah and others.

4. Ensure that the appointment of positions such as the inspector-general of police, the attorney-general, the anti-corruption commissioner and the auditor-general require the approval of Parliament.

5. Create a National Ombudsman Department.

6. Strengthen local government democracy and democratically enhance the competency and effectiveness of the delivery system and guarantee transparency at all levels.

7. Free all media, amend the Printing Presses and Publications Act 1984, enact a Freedom of Information Act and ensure Internet freedom.

8. Enhance the performance of public service sector and ensure the welfare of its members. Ensure that the institution remains independent and able to perform its responsibilities competently.

9. Empower and enhance civil society. Increase the participation of people through dialogues and consultations.

C. A clean, free and fair electoral system

The tarnished electoral system must be restored its integrity.The sovereign power of the people to choose the country's leadership must be defended from any defects that allows for manipulation.

Therefore it is important for us to review all the relevant electoral laws.

Pakatan will:

1. Enable all citizens age 18 and above to vote via automatic registration.

2. Eliminate all weaknesses in the electoral system by cleaning the electoral roll; abolish postal votes for voters within the country, ensure all citizens outside the country can vote; and introduce the use of indelible ink.

3. Ensure the media provides political parties fair and just space, reasonable campaign period and a clean and free election process.

4. Re-delineate constituencies to mirror the principle of one citizen, one vote in order to guarantee a more fair and just representation.

5. Grant political parties campaign expenditures based on the percentages of votes in general elections.

6. Enact more effective laws to punish candidates or political parties that are involved in corruption or vote-buying practices.

2) ECONOMY

Pakatan is determined to create a national economy with high performance and sustainable growth.

To ensure national competitiveness, it is critical that effective distribution of national resources and wealth in key and strategic fields or sectors of the economy is ensured.

Stimulating local investment and generating strong domestic demand as well as attracting continuous foreign direct investments will foster an economy that is progressive and resilient.

Pakatan is committed to creating a 'People's Economy' to ensure that the prosperity and wealth generated will be reaped by people of all classes whilst reducing the gap between rich and poor, as well as overcoming the disparity of development between regions, as a consequence of mismanagement that failed to prioritise the interests of the majority.

A. High-performance economy

The basis of a high-performance economy is a workforce that is knowledge-based, competent and highly-skilled.

Pakatan will provide all necessary investment to produce a high-productivity workforce in order to boost high-added value in national economic activities.

Pakatan will:

1. Guarantee that opportunities of higher education and training based on competency are provided in all service, manufacturing and agricultural sectors.

2. Ensure that every worker who wants to improve his or her skills is given an opportunity to obtain continuous training to enhance productivity.

3. Encourage citizens who are professionals and skilled living overseas to return home by creating a professional and attractive working environment.

B. Democratic and transparent economy

Pakatan is committed to implement policies to ensure that the management of the economy is free from corruption, abuse of power and cronyism in order to enhance accountability, transparency and good governance.

Corrupt practices and abuse of power has dissipated national wealth and prevented sustainable economic growth and weakened national competitiveness.

Pakatan will:

1. Reform the tender system so that it becomes open, fair, transparent, and gives the best value for the people's money.

2. Reject privatisation which burdens the people. Re-negotiate unfair concessions and contracts that profited cronies, including IPPs, highway tolls and water infrastructure.

3. Implement a progressive taxation system and reject any taxes that burden the people. This includes putting a stop to the proposed Goods and Services Tax (GST) until the people and the country are ready for it.

C. Decentralisation and the empowerment of state economic management

In keeping with the spirit of federalism to improve the government's delivery system, effectiveness and efficient expenditure, the implementation of extensive development and economic policies will be needed to be devolved to the state governments according to respective priorities.

Decentralisation can motivate structural change in the economic framework to boost efficiency and productivity due to greater effectiveness in expenditure, besides higher multiplier effects for government expenditure in the national economy.

Pakatan will:

1. Implement grants for development and equalisation based on a formula of total population, poverty rate, development area, cost, human development and gross revenue per capita indices that will ensure that the poorer states are not left behind.

2. Redistribute economic and administrative power and the implementation of infrastructure works to the state governments, for example an equitable negotiation rights in ascertaining public transportation design and network.

3. Generate a more balanced geographical development, thereby creating productive secondary cities nationwide in order to reduce development centralisation in the Klang Valley.

4. Prioritising policies that generate high and long-term growth, based on an economic understanding where the state governments are in a better position to determine and implement socio-economic strategies.

D. Affirmative action policies based on need

Pakatan recognises that all Malaysians are entitled to assistance based on need regardless of background.

Pakatan is determined to make the national economy people-centred, so that the national wealth can be enjoyed equitably by all.

Pakatan will:

1. Ensure equitable economic assistance and distribution to all based on need.

2. Assist marginalised groups from all races.

3. Provide cash assistance directly to target groups to end hardcore poverty.

4. Provide education scholarships based on need and merit.

5. Ensure social mobility by guaranteeing more equitable and equal economic opportunity for all.

6. Use the savings from leakages and wastage and the fight against corruption as additional resources for programmes to eradicate poverty.

E. Labour

Labour is the foundation to the continuous prosperity of the nation. Pakatan will guarantee that all Malaysian workers will be treated justly and further ensure their welfare and prosperity be preserved.

Pakatan will:

1. Introduce minimum wage for all Malaysian workers.

2. Defend workers' rights to form trade unions according to their needs and choice; and ensure that they are given the same rights and protection in accordance with international standards.

3. Introduce an Equal Opportunity Act to ensure that work opportunities are open to all.

4. Support entrepreneurs and businessmen of Small and Medium Enterprises by providing access to loans, adequate infrastructure and further reduce bureaucracy.

5. Facilitate assistance to fishermen and farmers to drive increased productivity.

6. Re-structure an integrated foreign workers policy and reduce national dependence on foreign labour.

7. Provide support system to groups involved in the informal economic sector such as small businesses, hawkers, farmers and those who are self employed.

F. Social safety net

All Malaysians are entitled to enjoy life with dignity at all times. Those who have lost their income, the elderly, the disabled and low-income groups must be protected and also given the opportunity to enjoy the economic benefits of development.

Pakatan will:

1. Strengthen the Employees' Provident Fund system and introduce a pension scheme for private sector employees.

2. Set up a National Retrenchment Fund to provide temporary financial support to those who have lost their jobs, subsidy for on-the-job training and retraining of workers

3. Extend the retirement age to 60 years in order to provide opportunities to those who wish to continue contributing to society.

G. Housing

Housing is a basic human need. In reality, a large number of Malaysians could not, without assistance, afford their own housing especially those from the lower and middle income.

Therefore Pakatan will:

1. Set up a Perbadanan Perumahan with the mandate to increase the number of affordable housing and achieving the goal of One Family, One House.

2. Overcome the problems concerning 'squatters/urban settlers' as far as possible through in situ housing development and/or land sharing and through low interest loans to assist the squatters/urban settlers to purchase their own houses.

3. Coordinate a negotiation system for' squatters/urban settlers', developers and the authorities to achieve a win-win solution for matters concerning housing and land;

4. Provide assistance to upgrade low-cost houses and Projek Perumahan Rakyat in order to meet the increased number of household occupants;

5. Invest in public amenities in the apartment surroundings to ensure a balanced and healthy environment.

6. Encourage transparency and competition in the financial sector in order to make housing loans more accessible and affordable.

7. Cooperate with state governments to safeguard housing policy and ensure that affordable housing is provided for those in need.

H. Infrastructure and public facilities

Providing and maintaining good public infrastructure is the government's responsibility.

The implementation should not burden the people or merely profit certain cronies.

Good public infrastructure and facilities can increase the people's disposable income and their productivity.

Pakatan will:

1. Guarantee clean water and electricity at reasonable rates to every family in Malaysia.

2. Review and re-negotiate all highway toll agreements and study the possibility of purchasing back the Plus highway with the objective to eliminate tolls in seven years.

3. Improve the efficiency of the public transport system through the establishment of the Commission of Public Transport comprising government and community representatives.

4. Introduce a half-fare scheme for elderly citizens, the disabled, students and retirees for all types of public transport.

5. Re-assess the granting of taxi permits to large companies and prioritise individual entrepreneurs and their associations.

6. Provide efficient broadband Internet service for free in order to reduce the digital divide.

I. Environment

Our environment is a national treasure that must be preserved for the sustainability of the future generations. Facing crisis of climate change, Pakatan resolves to:

1. Entrench the practice of recycling as part of our culture by providing the necessary infrastructure and a comprehensive system.

2. Ensure all logging activities and deforestation are carried out in a controlled and sustainable manner.

3. Build the foundation and technological expertise to enable a smooth transition to the use of alternative energy resources.

4. Restrict the development at hill slopes and hazardous areas.

5. Reduce carbon emission rate to conform with international standards and increase the ability of the ecological system to absorb carbon.

J. Sustainable growth and green development

Pakatan is determined to make the green economy as the core of a new era of equitable and sustainable prosperity for Malaysia.

The provision of infrastructure and development of new industries in line with the transition to a green economy will become an engine for dynamic economic growth.

Pakatan will:

1. Introduce modern, comprehensive and appropriate infrastructure for a low carbon economy, including a world-class, integrated public transport system and a comprehensive recycling programme.

2. Develop industries based on green technology such as manufacturing solar panels and hydrogen cell fuels.

3. Lead the development of alternative energy systems and renewable energy in the Asian region.

4. Strengthen the agriculture sector with the latest methods and technology to ensure that the national food supply is secured.


3. SOCIAL JUSTICE

A. Unity and social justice

Pakatan resolves to foster understanding and unity among the people based on the principle of preserving our common interests.

National unity must reflect a genuine solidarity, understanding and togetherness among the races, cultures and religions.

Pakatan promises to rebuild a united multiracial society, where the different races can live in peace and harmony.

Pakatan will:

1. Focus on efforts to mend the deteriorated relationships among the races and religions.

2. Consolidate the efforts of all stakeholders in order to restore the good will, mutual respect and trust which have long been practiced by the multi-racial and multi-religious people of Malaysia.

3. Enact a Race Relations Act to safeguard unity and harmony of the people and to eliminate discrimination among the races.

4. Generate support from every level of the society so that it can hold fast to all the principles and norms that should be upheld by an open society.

5. Strive to eliminate the practice of racial politics through various means including education, mass media, dialogues and consultations.

6. Cultivate a Malaysian culture based on moral values and excellence that is accepted by all races.

This will require an open attitude towards cultural diversity that is practiced by the various races and ethnic groups in Malaysia.

Pakatan will do this whilst taking consideration the country's history and evolution.

7. Improve the welfare of Orang Asli, Orang Asal and other minority groups in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak besides defending their fundamental, economic and social rights.

B. Religion

Religion and other beliefs practiced by Malaysians should form the basis of unity that is founded on good universal values.

Malaysians have almost fallen into the boiling pot of discord and tension that was caused by manipulation of religious differences.

This should not happen in a genuinely democratic Malaysia, with Islam occupying a special position whilst the rights of other religions are guaranteed.

Pakatan vows to:

1. Defend the position of Islam as the religion of the Federation and guarantee freedom of religion for every Malaysian.

2. Organise dialogues and consultations between cultures and religions in order to strengthen the understanding among them.

3. Set up a comprehensive mechanism to provide just resolutions to cases which involve the overlap of civil and syariah laws, including a royal commission to deeply study all the relevant issues.

4. Strengthen the management of Islamic institutions such as Baitul Mal and Tabung Haji to ensure that they are administered effectively and efficiently to achieve their objectives.

5. Ensure suitable areas for places of worship and burial grounds for all religions.

C. Education

Education should be aimed at creating a person who is balanced spiritually, physically and intellectually.

Through the national education system, Pakatan resolves to provide a system of education that is competent, of high quality and guarantees equal opportunity to the people.

Pakatan will:

1. Make the national school system the foundation of the nation's education system.

Ensure the equitable support and funding to religious schools, Chinese and Tamil national schools, mission schools and vocational schools in a concerted effort to increase the standard of national education.

2. Balance the emphasis from an examination-oriented system to a learning system based on critical and analytical thinking in search for the truth.

3. Ensure that every eligible student will have an opportunity to be placed in public institutions of higher learning regardless of their backgrounds.

4. Amend the University and University Colleges Act 1974 in order to create a conducive climate that guarantees academic freedom and university autonomy which increases the quality of education comparable with developed countries.

5. Ensure the appointment of vice chancellors, rectors, and other high ranking academic officials are based on qualification and approval of the Senate Council.

6. Improve the quality and facilities of disadvantaged schools in the interior parts of Sabah and Sarawak;

7. Increase the quality of teachers' education at every school level and increase the number of trained teachers based on demand.

8. Provide a high level of training opportunities for teachers and lecturers so that their knowledge and professional expertise are up to date.

9. Re-examine the teachers' service scheme and increase incentives for those who teach in the rural areas.

10. Provide scholarships based on merit and other financial aid based on need with priority given to poor students from the rural and interior areas.

11. Emphasise the importance of students mastering various languages including English, Arabic and Mandarin as leading languages in the world and also other mother tongues.

12. Provide places and training for those who drop out of school.

13. Widen the scope of the National Accreditation Board to monitor and propose the recognition of certificates, diplomas and degrees both local and international which fulfill the acceptable academic standards including the UEC certificate and Diploma Muadalah (twinning).

"Anak keling menang" ~ Being a Malaysian Pt2(Pt1/March15)

Before I start my thought of the day, I would like to share my bitter experience when I visited a school’s sports day where my son was schooling in 2008. As everyone knows, sports day in primary school is similar to a family day where parents will be having good time with their children and teachers.

When my son approach the finishing line in 200meter dash run with a stunning finishing, everyone were clapping as well as the students of red house he represented. I over heard a tiny voice of a student who was standing beside me telling her mother “anak keling menang, anak keling menang”.

As I turned my head to the direction where the voice is coming, I had a direct eye to eye contact with the mother of the student who was trying to shut her daughter’s mouth. I smiled at them and the mother smiled back and move away in a hurry.

The kid must be 10 years old and I am definitely not going to blame or curse her for her statement. She is so young to understand the meaning of this word. But, guess who would have thought her to address an Indian as keling?

This actually shows, still, there are low mentality Malaysian who failed to understand Malaysian as a Malaysian. This shows Malaysian of a certain race need to be more sensitive of other ethnic in Malaysia. Failure to compromise, understand and ignore the feeling of others may lead to a fatal feeling of certain race.

Everyone knows the word keling is used to address an Indian or a Indian Muslim. And of cause all the Tamils and Indian muslims will be very very mad. This word was believed to be considered as a sensitive word to address someone from the origin of India or Indian muslim. Similliarly even calling a black guy from Africa as a “Negro” is offensive to African too.

Just like others, I use to be mad too. But my anger triggered me to find the actual meaning of this word. I started to ask around as well as finding in the dictionary and from the internet too.

Some inteligent creative nuts even said, keling came from the sound of the bell from the Indian temple. Everyone knows, Indians use bell when they are performing their prayers and some said the word keling came from the bell Indian wear on their legs when they are performing the traditional dance “Baratha Nathiyam”.

Lately, the Indian muslim from all over Malaysia was mad with (DBP) Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka cause DBP refuse to withraw the word “keling” from the dictionary. The DBP have their reason for it and don’t ask me what was their reason. If you are curious, you can call DBP and ask them for yourself.

So, what is the meaning of this word “Keling”?

The usage of the word keling to address Indians actually was started from 14th century. The time when people from India came to Melaka as we know Melaka at that time of Parameswara is a bussiness hub in this region. This attracted the chinese too, to venture their bussiness.

In 14th century a part the country India today was known as “KALINGA (link)". A great forgotten kingdom. Let me repreat again, the country INDIA today is a new name and before it was known as India it was called as “KALINGA”.

Guess what? The chinese are the one who started to address Indian those days as “kaling Chai” for Indian male and “kaling moi” for Indian female. (Kling chai or Kling moi)
Even until today they still address Indian as kaling chai or Moi and logically what else name to call Indian if not kaling man from Kalingan?

Even worst, some of them called Indian as “Kaling Kui” ~ Indian devils when they are mad about Indians. And if you ask them why they are calling Indians as “kaling chai” or “kaling Moi”, they will say “I don’t know” ~ I dono’ wo…. Exact word pronouce in cantonese is : "kling gan".

They always stick with their famous quote “tak tau” (don’t know ~ duno’). But they still stick to this calling until today. They don’t know why they are calling Indians by this name but they still address them as in the14th century. The best joke is, if you ask them what they duno’, they will still say duno’again.

Basically, It is no harm for anyone to address Indian as Keling in the term of history. But if someone’s feeling hurt with this calling, I think as a Malaysian we should avoid using this word.

The Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka should be more alert and be sensitive about this keling word. They should give an actual meaning of this word. Don’t remove it. So, from young age Malaysian will start to understand and will be more understanding about others sensetivity.

To all the Indian muslim brothers. I hope you can be more wise in making accusation.

Lets be more Malaysian, lets be united, lets be more sensitive and lets be more responsible towards others sensitivity as a human. We may have different political ideology, we may have differenses in our believes and religions but we are all one when we are talking about Malaysia.

I DON’T GIVE A DAMN, IT WASN'T LOGIC.

I don’t give a damn about the crisis in Perak, I don’t give a damn about the bullshit they trying to play around with the juridical system. The law always can be bend. The law always can be challenge. The innocent can be guilty and the guilty can be innocent.

The genuine case can be made false. The false can be made genuine. The truth always can be denied. The denial can be prosecuted.

But the most important verdic is, don’t break the law. An army officer who was a good friend of mine always note me, “Don’t break the law, but you can bend it”. I do wonder, how to bend the law by not breaking it?.

Logic...

Ok ok ok… lets start talk about logic. I love the word logic. Logic is commences and can be prove by evidence as well. You can challenge someone by logic. It don’t have to be the whole truth. But logic can made it true.

For example, “DEATH”, death is always about GOD taking ones life. The muslim said, called by the Almighty. The christian said, be united with Christ to lead another journey. And of cause the Hindus and the Buddist said, your journey ends and it is time to start a new one.

Be logic, the statement above is actually the same. That is logic. You can prove dead with scientific and it can be logic too.

So, lets don’t about misery in logic. Cause we are not lawyers to talk about law in detail. Lets talk about logic in Silver State as per our understanding currently. Lets be logic and put a side the law and regulations.

How logic it was to hold the ruling when MB Nizar was announced as a legal MB by the high court? When DS Nizar was announced as a legal MB, how does the second MB can be considered exist?

When Datuk Seri Nizar Jamalludin was announced as a legal Mentri Besar all the way in these three months, how can all the sitting, meeting and decission making by the BN government can be legal? They can’t even be considered exist.

You see, this what logic is all about. Ask yourself, how logic it can be?

Logic 2...

How logic it can be when a Speaker was ousted by dragging him out like a garbage back? How logic it can be to allow police autorities into the hall to do this dirty job? Is it logic all this been done without any instruction from anyone? How logic it can be?

Another logic…

Lets talk about another logic. How can citizens of a same country were not treated equally? Don’t we as a citizen suppose to be treated equally? How logic it can be to treat your own children un-equally? You may not be able to satisfied all of them. But how they can be satisfied if they were not treated equally?

How can I be satisfied, when I was treated with quota system in my own beloved country. From education system, housing ellocation, civil service ellocation and many more.

When we pay the same amount of taxes, toll charges, service charges and school feeces equally, how can we be given back based on quota and percentage? We earned our rights as a citizen to vote but we were treated with quota system base on our race and religion. We were allocated based on percentages. Are we different from another? Or this what racism is all about.

Crab Story ~ (Tamils Crabs, Chinese Crabs and Malay Crabs)

When I was young I use to listen to this story about crabs. This crab story is specially dedicated to Tamils (Malaysian Indian). It was a joke at first but later I did realise the actual fact in this story and I would like to share it with all.

Once upon a time, there was three bucket of crabs were brought in a ship. One bucket is filled with Malay crabs, second buckets was filled with Chinese crabs and the third bucket is filled with Tamil crabs.

The best part is, this is how the story goes. The first and the second bucket contained Malays and Chinese crabs were closed but the third one was open. The third bucket which was filled with Tamil crabs need not to be close.

So, one of the fisherman ask to another man why these two buckets were closed and third one is open? And the answer goes like this:

1. The first Malay crabs bucket was closed because they will escape by pushing one of them by many. This escaped crab than shall rescue another who was pushed by the rest of remaining.
2. The second bucket needed to be close too. If you leave it open, the chinese crabs will escape by giving hand to another chinese crab. They will escape by creating hand chain cause they depend on the their own community.
3. Otherwise to the third bucket. You don’t have to close because if one Tamil crab try to escape, the other Tamil crab will pull him down.

Have a good laugh cause this is happening in reality. All the new talented Tamil crabs in MIC were pull down by another Tamil crab. Any new Tamil crab who voice out the disatisfaction even for the improvement shall be silented. Is this a correct word to use? SILENTED?

This crab fiction does goes to another Tamil represented party in Malaysia. But you can find these tamil were mostly Christians.

T.Murugiah were selected as a Deputy Minister in Prime Ministers Department and I felt it was a good choice. He has shown his capability in handling many report from Teressa’s complains about police lockup treatment and now the lates to Kugan’s (Dead in Police Custody) case.

He carried out his task without fear and favor. These is true or someone tell me otherwise.

But the way PPP’s president reacted in the latest issue on T.Murugiah internal party issues proved me this crab story is practically true.

After the president failed to defend his seat in 12GE, I feel the president is no more relevan and should give way to other talented up coming candidate to take over.

But trying to kill T.Murugiah’s carreer known as a fearless minister is totally disgrace to PPP and to Tamil in the whole. Please settle your internal party issue within the party and don’t bring it to the street. Don’t tarnish T.Murugiah’s name as he has proven done more than the president.

Hello please, I am not PPP member, but as a Malaysian, this is not a healthy politic to be practised.

The PPP’s president is good in “busybodying” himself in MIC’s problem and others until he got no time to look into his own constitution and he was rejected and lost his seat.

At least your boy is doing a good job. Guide him and upbring this guy for the best of PPP. Don’t be the crab in the third bucket.

Religion ~ Conversion of the Minor

Petaling Jaya: The conversion of children to Islam as part of divorce and custodial tussles is “un-Islam”, says International Institute of Advanced Islamic Studies (IAIS) founding chairman and CEO Mohamad Hashim Kamali.

“In my opinion, such force conversion is un-Islamic… to use Islam in order to inflic or for purposes that are not part of the spirituality or aqidah of Islam, whether it is marriage, whether it is divorce or custody and there is a tussle between the wife and husband over the children does not make sence,” said Mohamad.

To go to Syariah Court and claim that the child, who is two or three years old, has been converted to Islam, what does it mean? You convert a two years-old child or five-year-old to Islam, it doesn’t really make sence when you look at this phenomena from the texts and guidelines of Islam,” he said.

Mohamad said conversion to Islam was a conscious and deliberate act on the part of the individual requiring a comprehension of the decision made by the person converting…..

An interesting statement above but it is not mine. I stole it from one of a free newspaper dated 23th April, 2009. Many have question the above conversion as fanatism and un-justice. Some even made it as political issue for their own benefits.

My friend Ganesh ask me if I have anything to say about the resent conversion issue which involve a Hindu family. Yes, even Krishnan, Saranjit Singh, Chew and my wife asked me if this what been said as freedom to preach religion in my beloved country Malaysia.

My answer:

It is not fanatism but ones failure to deliberately understand the truth in Islam. It is not antism nor jeopadism but ignorance of the fact. What to aspect from a conventional person who merely don’t understand and block himself to understand the beyond in Islam.

What to aspect from an ordinary person who built a wall around him and restrict himself from learning. Learn to adopt religion and logic in real life. What I meant by logic is converting a kid in a age of eight by using his or her birth certificate. How logic it can be? Ask yourself .

The anouncement from the government to bar on secret conversion of children definitely welcomed. It has answered the whole process and that is the logic. I am not siding anyone cause the result favored me and my religion. But it is the logic and of cause the fact is in it.

Than came Mohamad Hashim Kamali with his statement which I think answered all Muslims around the world. Please read it again.

Being a Malaysian (Part 1)

It has been a busy month for all the reporters and journalist. Malaysia is filled with a lot of clown stories and I am sure the media is making a lot of money out of these issues. I was not been writing for some time as issues are being molested specially by the one with big appetite. So let’s starts high light and refresh our mind with all the bullshit this present ruling party is making fun out of it:

1. What a beautiful Malaysia and some said what a unique Malaysia. What actually does this mean to one when he is a being a Malaysian? Of cause this is a great compliment to one when they praise your motherland. You feel good and proud of yourself as floating on the air. It is true because I did experience this when I was visiting few countries around the world. But are these feeling were true or genuine? Or was it only satisfying your pride but actually you are going through nuts in your own land. Let’s be more specific from few angle of how does one feel of being Malaysian in this very land.

2. I don’t think so in any other country around the world where the citizens are getting quota system in their own mother land. Even non Malays Malaysians are paying the same amount of tax, cukai tanah, tolls, school fees, summons, cukai pintu, road tax, Indah water and many more to this government but what we get in return? A quota system to buy your own house and quota system for education system for your kids. I am definitely proud to be Malaysian.

3. Can one imagine you are still called as “Pendatang” (Refugees) after 51 years of Independent? I am a Malaysian citizen and I am very sure about the amounted contribution my family contributed to this country. Even it goes the same to me as a third generation in Malaysia. But what were given in return? Ask each of the non Malays for the answer? Believe me, you will be surprise.

4. As any other non Malay citizen, I am not qualified to get 10% discount to buy a house for my family, which this discount was given to all Malays friends. What a double standard? They called the Malays as BUMIPUTRA, I am not sure if these people understand the Sanskrit word BUMIPUTRA.

5. School teacher is still using the word “Keling” to address Tamil Students. What a civilize educators. When every teachers are suppose to play a vital role in building a truly Malaysia, still there are some of them still living in a tree house attitude. They still denying about “Malay” word which originated from “Malai” (Tamil word) which were given to address them by The King Raja Raja Cholan when he concur Lembah Bujang Kedah. “Malai karan” means people from the higher land. To be more specific they are the people from the Gunung Jerai. Please refer to wikipedia for more detail. Or leave your comment and I shall elaborate in dept.

6. When we are talking about teachers and educations, let us look at the final exam bumiputra strategy. Why is there should be a religion column to be filled when even your name is not needed to be fill in final exam papers? Is this a way to identify and to decide who should get the higher marks and who fail in the exam? Think about it?

7. The Parti Gerakan Youth leader had the balls to ask for Samy’s resignation. The Tamil should salute Gerakan Youth Leader for being brave enough to voice out the fact or shall I say he has the balls compare to others. The Malaysian Tamilans should feel ashame as if no other Tamils beside Samy to lead the Tamils In Malaysia. Now for the up date, he has been questioned by Anti Corruption Agency regards to AIMST. Previously he swallowed RM10 millions of Malaysian Tamil’s hard earn money in MAIKA Holding.

8. Talking about Perak, the whole political situation is a crap. You know what I meant by this? Malaysiakini dated 15/03/09 ~ TUN’s comment on state of Perak. The state government has two teams of excos. Even Tun said the BN is too “Gelojoh”. They should wait for the vote of no confident to bring down Perak’s MB (Nizar).

9. If you are born Malay in Malaysia, you must be ISLAM. It is stated in Malaysian Federal Constitution. Is this a practical joke? I don’t know. You think about it. Your religion is decided and locked by the law of your own motherland.

10. Do this calculation by yourself. 1,500 Indian died in police custody since year 2000. That would be 167 Indians per year were killed by the Malaysian Authority. That mean every 2.5 days one Indian will be killed while in police custody. What we should call this. An ethnics cleaning of cause.
